We are nearly completed our year-long project in Leicester, working alongside Talasey Ltd, one of the UK’s leading landscaping suppliers.

This project was very special to us at Tayton. This garden was to support and provide a safe place for the customers little girl who has spastic quadriplegic cerebral Palsy. This garden was created and designed for her specifically. This is to make sure the garden was accessible, helping her through her development and have somewhere safe to play!

Please find her story on Little Lola Story: https://www.facebook.com/little.lolas.story/
Her story is incredible and is such a strong, smart little girl!

The project involved creating a beautifully curved garden path using precision bricklaying and premium materials. Making sure all slopes were to the disability standard UK. Our team expertly crafted the winding walls, blending the design seamlessly into the landscape, separating different parts of the garden.

Phase 1 of the Project

For the house itself, we transformed the balcony area with a frameless glass balustrade from Balustrade Superstore, using frosted glass to offer privacy. LED lighting was installed to enhance the space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
In the garden we got started on the porcelain patio next to their bifolding doors (supplied by Talasey), the reinforced brick wall, the slope to the middle section and the first section of raised beds.

Phase 2 of the Project

At the back of the garden we reused some of the customers’ block paving for an area for the hot tub, with one side with Talasy composite decking steps and other side with slope into the private area. We continued the slope with a circle patio, edged with charcoal blocks, and installed phase 3 reinforced wall and raised brick planters. On the same level new premium turf was installed and patio laid out for phase 3

Phase 3 of the Project

We have finished the curve to the top section of their garden with self binding material with a natural sleeper raised bed.
We now coming to last part of this phase that will be installing the water fountain the patio of middle section.

Phase 4 of the project (January 2025)

We will be installing a safe soft play area for Lola (https://www.facebook.com/little.lolas.story/) to have her play equipment making sure if she trips or falls she is safe.
This project is a huge success, and the Tayton Joinery & Landscaping team is proud of the incredible transformation. If you’re ready to elevate your outdoor space, contact us today.
